Initial Consultation & Assessment

When you contact me to discuss starting treatment, I will provide a free phone screening to assess your needs and determine if I am the right therapist for you.

If we decide that we can work effectively together, we will schedule an initial consultation appointment. Prior to this meeting, you will be asked to review my treatment agreement and (HIPAA) privacy practices policies.

You will also be asked to complete other client intake forms. During our initial appointment, which will last 75-90 minutes, I will gather additional information about you. We will spend several sessions learning more about you and what brought you to therapy. After this we will decide on a treatment plan.

You are encouraged to be an active participant in the treatment process, to ask questions and offer suggestions regarding the direction of your treatment.
